Building up color, letting things shift, sometimes waiting a long time between steps. It’s not a process that translates easily outside of the studio. You can’t really do it in a sketchbook without thick paper and time, and it definitely doesn’t carry over to things like water bottles or laptops.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat’s where Paint Peels came in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey’re made from my original brushstrokes, turned into something you can actually use. You can move them around, layer them, build compositions, and see what happens all without losing the quality of the original marks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eA Different Way to Work\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis isn’t about replacing painting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s just another way to work with color.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSomething more immediate. More flexible. You can try things, shift things, change your mind. Use them in a sketchbook, on an object, or as part of something larger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey’re meant to be handled, not precious.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eWhere They Show Up\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSketchbooks.
