Overt Space Gallery announces their 1st Juried Art Exhibition celebrating Earth Day for the month of April 2024. 2D artists from around the USA are called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion into the Gallery’s April 2024 in person AND online group exhibition.
The “Wandering in Nature” invites artists to explore the captivating moments of awe and curiosity found in the natural world, capturing the ethereal beauty of landscapes, flora, and fauna that evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation. Both realism and abstract art will be considered. Our gallery features contemporary art and the concept is considered in judging.

Entry Fee: $25.00 for 3 entries
Award Info: The Best in Show winner will receive a cash prize of $200. 2nd place $150. 3rd place $100. Honorable mentions for 4th and 5th place.
All accepted entries will be featured in a printed publication by the gallery and blog. Awarded artists will receive more space for interviews.
All entries will have their name listed in our printed publication.
Type: Juried Group Exhibition
Location: All artists residing in the USA are eligible to participate. This group show is located at Overt Space Gallery in Stoughton, WI. Artwork will also be available on our website. Artists do not need to be present for the show.
Artwork Requirements: Artwork must be ready to hang and must not exceed 60” in either direction and must not stick out from the wall 6”. Artwork must be for sale.
The commission split is 60% artist/40% gallery.
All original works will be considered; All 2D artwork and 3D wall hangable artwork. Our gallery uses the STAS Hanging system and cannot be nailed to the wall.
Overt Space is family-friendly and has people of all ages walk through the gallery. Please keep this in mind when submitting artwork. Submission fees are non-refundable.

Shipping Artwork: Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to the gallery and must provide a prepaid return shipping label addressed to themselves from the gallery.
Hand-delivered work must be delivered by April 7th, 2024 and picked up by June 9th, 2024. Special arrangements can be made for alternate pickup dates.
Application Requirements
- Up to 3 pieces may be submitted on each application, one image per piece.
- Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited.
- Artwork must be original (not copied from other art or made from a kit).
- Work must have been completed in the last three years.
- Piece(s) must not have been shown previously at Overt Space Gallery.
- All pieces must be for sale.
- Artists Statement - All applicants must submit an artist statement limited to 1000 characters.
Liability: Artists are responsible for insuring their artwork while in transit to and from the gallery and for the duration of the exhibition. All accepted artwork will be handled with professional care; however, Overt Space Gallery will not be responsible for any loss or damage to artwork while in transit to and from the gallery and while on the premises.
Damaged boxes and crates will remain unopened pending notification to the artist.
Work unclaimed by the sender at the return address on the crate is not the responsibility of Overt Space Gallery.
Artwork not picked up by the artist by June 9th, unless special arrangements have been made with Overt Space Gallery, is not the responsibility of Overt Space Gallery.
