ARTIST STATEMENT
Through her education and career as an industrial designer, Megan has developed a strong appreciation for the forms and details within her daily environments. Her acrylic paintings use varying styles in brushstrokes to capture something just beyond the realism of a scene, emphasizing points of interest to communicate her unique perception.
Megan’s admiration of impressionists can be seen through her slice-of-life depictions and experimentations with light and color. She enjoys the meditative process of recreating imagery from her experiences, studying and interpreting the things that she finds visually striking.
