Artist Statement:
I use watercolors, oils, water-mixable oil, and gouache to convey my story and evoke calm and healing in my artwork. There is an emphasis on how light interacts with the rural landscapes, old buildings, and historic barns, as I reflect on the lives connected to these structures and places. My animal paintings focus on conveying their emotions as stories. Nature serves as my inspiration, deeply shaped by my experience growing up on a farm in Wisconsin. Through my artwork, I aim to share a touch of the outdoors with the indoors of every home my paintings find their way into.
