Artist Statement:

In this work, the pileated woodpecker becomes more than bird — it is a sovereign force, ascending through a vortex of energy. In its grasp, a silver serpent embodies transformation and the eternal exchange between predator and prey, matter and spirit. The Forest King evokes nature as myth: a place where balance is both fragile and fierce, and where every motion hints at ritual. Within the swirling flight lies the wonder of unseen order — the alchemy of instinct, power, and renewal.
