Artist Statement:
Through the lens of infrared photography, I aim to challenge the viewer's perception of the natural world. My images capture landscapes and objects in a way that is both familiar and fundamentally alien. By shifting our focus from the visible to the invisible, my work embodies the theme of magical realism, grounding surreal and expressive forms in everyday scenes. These photographs act as a mirror, reflecting a reality that feels both real and imagined, and encouraging a deeper contemplation of what we truly see.
**Infrared photography captures light just beyond the visible light spectrum. Unable to be seen with the naked eye, these wavelengths of light transform the way we are able to view the world.
