Artist Statement:
Alyssa’s artistic work focuses on skeletal remains, skulls, ethereal animals and chimeric human bodies surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna in her relief prints. Themes of death, love, burden and empathy are explored through these subjects as they exist in the space between the living and the dead.
